Top Hat is searching for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team! Reporting to the Director of Revenue Strategy & Analysis, this person will play a critical role in optimizing Top Hat’s business outcomes by supporting good decision-making and control.

As a key member of our finance team, you will:
FP&A duties, supporting the Director of Revenue Strategy & Analysis:
- Own the monthly variance analysis process across all OPEX departments: Sales & Marketing, R&D and G&A functions. Provide detailed commentary on variances, and partner with department leads to understand if these are true variances or are due to timing and whether we need to book an accrual or increase our full-year forecast
- Partner with departmental leads to support their financial needs; this could range from running ad-hoc reports to business case analysis and being a key financial support for a longer-term initiative
- Assist in developing the annual budget and own the quarterly reforecast process
- Maintain key financial and operational business metrics
- Support the creation and maintenance of various analyses to support the Sales organization
- Develop and maintain financial models and various other analyses/databases to provide insight into business performance, including pipeline & bookings analytics, sales efficiency and recurring forecasting processes
- Utilize analytics to provide recommendations to senior management on efficiency initiatives, process improvement/creation, strategy, etc.
- Assist in the development of presentations for senior leadership covering various revenue-focused topics
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field. Accounting or finance designation is nice to have!
- 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a similar role
- Advanced MS Excel or G Sheets skills (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts) and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to work with and distill large amounts of data into meaningful information with minimal management supervision
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing ambiguous environment - every day could bring something new and give you the opportunity to gain great experience
- Proficiency in financial modelling, ability to build and maintain financial models
- Ability to work collaboratively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Structured thinker and problem solver
- Proven experience providing insight and analysis to stakeholders
