Responsibilities

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Solution Consultant to join our growing solution consulting team (presales). The successful Solution Consultant (SC) provides total solution expertise to prospects and customers, largely supporting asset management/asset lifecycle software. The SC leads the solution discovery, solution design, solution configuration and then is the primary presenter during customer engagements that target specific industries and micro verticals. The successful SC uncovers the strategic objectives and business opportunities with the prospect's stakeholders during discovery and understands the key metrics driving the solution evaluation. The SC coordinates with internal and external resources to ensure total solution strategy and holistic solution approach.

  • Configure software and prepare other presentation materials for demonstrations
  • Showcase asset and information management solutions on desktop and mobile
  • Incorporate service offerings into the demonstration to provide a cohesive solution aligned with the prospects business needs
  • Demonstrate how system functional capabilities translate into business value and help prospects meet their own business objectives
  • Lead presentations that reinforce value at various audience levels, including executives and business users
  • Become a trusted adviser to customers and prospects by helping them understand how to meet their business goals
  • Maintain asset management industry, market, and competitor insights to support prospect inquiries during presentations
  • Deliver proof of concepts as needed, ensuring customer requirements are met and the value and benefits of the solution are clearly demonstrated
  • Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) alongside Hexagon’s proposal team.
  • Participate in building the Solution Consulting community through teamwork, building relevant data sets and examples, creating compelling presentation material and sharing industry knowledge
  • Remain current on new product releases and maintain demo environments as required
  • Understand capabilities of other Hexagon solutions to identify capabilities, products, services to grow the opportunity footprint with sales leaders
  • Participate in tradeshows, user conferences, and sales seminars as required
  • Conduct timely and accurate internal reporting such as effort tracking and documentation of interactions with customers and prospects

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or related is highly desired
  • Ability to articulate integration capabilities, interoperability, and typical data flows
  • Enterprise software consulting, implementations or maintenance management experience is required, minimum 4 years
  • Knowledgeable of solution delivery strategies such as on-premise, SaaS, and the high level benefits of each
  • Travel to customer and prospect sites as required (45-55% travel) for discovery, solution presentations, workshops, and conferences
  • Experience presenting to various audience sizes and various levels in the organization to include C-level audiences

Preferred

  • Experience with EAM and HxGN IM (SDx, SPO, SPF) solutions
  • Demo2Win Certified
  • On-hand industry experience with asset management
  • Additional Languages – Spanish, Portuguese
  • Knowledge of asset management strategies, asset reliability, data integrations, supply chain, operational risk management,or other advanced asset management topics
  • Subject Matter Expert in Asset Information and Document Management Systems
  • Familiarity with Web APIs and system integration concepts to enable seamless connectivity and interoperability between platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages – Python, SQL, JavaScript and database concepts, preferably SQL Server or Oracle Database
  • Experience in a sales role
