Conservation Worker

Eager to help the environment, Conservation Workers protect, manage and enhance the local environment – including grassland, woodland, rivers, forests, coasts and mountains near the railway. They provide advice and recommendations to decision-makers, raise awareness of environmental issues and contribute to the creation of action plans.

Typical Duties Include

• Monitor and maintain the health of natural ecosystems
• Conduct surveys and collect data

Qualifications

• GCSE grades A*-C
• A-Levels in sciences, such as Biology and Geography
• Environmental Science, Biology or relevant Bachelor’s Degree
• Level 4 NVQ or equivalent T Level in Environmental Science, Biology or related subject
• Level 6 Diploma or equivalent Degree Apprenticeship in Environmental Science, Biology or related subject
