The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Sales and Supply Medical Planning Manager to join our dynamic team in the medical cannabis sector. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional analytical abilities, a proven track record of building strong relationships across cross-functional teams, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

Responsibilities

Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data and market trends
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and make adjustments as needed to reflect changes in market conditions or business strategy
  • Provide actionable insights to support product lifecycle management, including new product launches and phase-outs
  • Lead the S&OP process within the medical cannabis business to align demand and supply plans with company objectives
  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process

Supply Planning

  • Develop supply plans to meet demand forecasts while accounting for constraints like capacity, lead times, and supplier capabilities
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing the risk of excess or obsolescence
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with New Product Development teams to ensure seamless product launches
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, product, and operations) to align demand and supply plans
  • Serve as a key liaison between vendors and internal departments to enhance operational efficiency
  • Communicate complex data and insights effectively to diverse stakeholders

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve demand and supply planning processes
  • Utilize advanced planning tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Other Duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Post-secondary degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years in a demand or supply planning role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and project management abilities
  • Familiarity with Rapid Response and SAGE/SAP systems is preferred
  • Background in medical cannabis or other regulated industries is an asset
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to an ever-changing environment
