Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Level 1 Staff Accountant with a strong focus on billing, reconciliation, and a range of foundational accounting tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain extensive experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry, working closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

Duties

• Billing & Accounts Receivable
  
  

Prepare, review, and process monthly and ad-hoc customer billings with accuracy.

Reconcile billing data, addressing discrepancies to ensure accurate financials

Support collections by monitoring outstanding accounts and coordinating with customers as needed.

• Reconciliation:
  
  

Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist with intercompany reconciliations and prepare related journal entries as needed.

• General Accounting Support:
  
  

Contribute to account analysis, working to understand and maintain account accuracy.

Assist in audit preparation and in compiling necessary documentation for auditors.

Undertake ad hoc accounting projects and analyses to support financial operations and business initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years in accounting or a related field; experience in billing or reconciliation is a plus.
• Strong attention to details and organizational skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations and general ledger work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
