The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the core needs of the user experience. Product designers define requirements, set scope, design the information architecture, and conduct both internal and external user research. As a product designer you will also translate your research into user flows, mockups, functional prototypes, and final deliverable UI.

PenChecks runs a highly collaborative Agile environment. Product designers work with product management, other designers, business analysts, engineers, developers, QA, architecture, users, and other stakeholders. By partnering with cross-functional teams and users, you will turn your insights into delightful experiences in a creative environment that requires proven leadership skills and the ability to execute a creative vision.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business goals and user needs into design solutions.
  • Design Testing: Conduct UAT and analyze user feedback to iterate and refine product designs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Accessibility: Ensure that designs meet accessibility standards and best practices to provide an inclusive user experience for all.
  • Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations and standards related to the financial sector and incorporate them into design solutions.
  • Documentation: Create design specifications, style guides, and other documentation to support the development and implementation of your designs.
  • Stay Current: Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fintech design. Share knowledge and insights with the design team.
  • Contribute to the creation, continuous improvement, and maintenance of the design system.
  • Clearly communicate to product managers and other stakeholders how your solutions address user needs along with business goals.
