Create high-value applications

With our global team, you will support our flagship serverless offering, Akamai EdgeWorkers. Your software development efforts will help us improve the performance and capabilities of our core product. You will help us shine as a centre of excellence for web performance acceleration and edge computing.

As a Software Engineer Intern/Co-op, you will be responsible for-

• Learning about our distributed systems, products, and the technical stack for your role, including Rust programming
• Developing highly scalable and secure software from conception through deployment
• Contributing to development tooling and devOps pipeline to improve developers

• Testing and monitoring the health and performance of our product in the deployed network
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and code development
  
  

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Be returning to school after completion of the assignment and available to work approximately 40 hours per week
• Have experience coding in at least two programming languages, such as- Java, C, C++, JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust
• Demonstrate proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment
• Be a collaborative team player with solid written and verbal communication skills
• Be flexible and adaptable to time sensitive situations and work in a fast-paced,
