We are seeking a talented Interior Designer for Restaurant Group to join our team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely while requiring on-site collaboration at our restaurants and offices in New York City or Los Angeles, as well as travel to project locations as needed.

Role Overview

As an Interior Designer at Wish You Were Here Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our restaurants, blending creativity with functionality to craft spaces that leave lasting impressions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document compelling interior design concepts and space plans for restaurant projects.
• Create sketches, 3D visualizations, and detailed drawings (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E) to illustrate design intent.
• Build design presentations, mood boards, and material boards to communicate creative concepts to stakeholders.
• Research and specify materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with each restaurant's unique narrative and aesthetic.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and external consultants to ensure the seamless execution of designs.
• Participate in on-site visits and provide input during construction to maintain design fidelity.
• Travel to project locations as required to oversee design implementation and ensure alignment with project goals.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in interior design or architecture, with a strong preference for hospitality design expertise.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Rhino. Knowledge of Revit, Enscape, and V-Ray is a plus.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, millwork, FF&E, and OS&E.
• Experience with all project phases, from concept development to construction administration.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
