This is a virtual position and requires 40 hours per week. Current schedule is Monday-Friday 10a-6:30pm. This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and other non-standard work hours as needed.

$47, 000-$52,000 a year

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Training and Support Manager and Transitions Leads, as a Trainer you are responsible for facilitating skill and competency development of trainees (employee and volunteer) by providing live classroom sessions of pre-determined content, conducting one-on-one coaching sessions, as well as On-the-Job training and ensuring all individuals completing training are fully successful with all required content and are performing to a high level quality as our team provides 24/7/365 service delivery to the state of Virginia and as a network center of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline offering calls, chats, and texts. HopeLink Behavioral Health is a nationally recognized Crisis Center of Excellence and Accredited 24/7/365 Contact Center.
Duties
Facilitate live knowledge and skills training from pre-developed content during scheduled training sessions of both new hires and existing workforce.
Provide appropriate and professional documentation related to trainee performance and behavior in an objective, factual, and non-punitive way. Along with communicating observable behavior feedback verbally and in writing with the intention to reinforce strengths and identify areas of growth. Ensure progress of trainees through regular updates, including any concerns, through written feedback where appropriate.
Participate in cohort training preparation by reviewing training slides and ensuring the content is accurate, up to date and aligned with current guidance from Vibrant Emotional Health, SAMHSA and VADBHDS.
Regularly review content disseminated and located within the Network Resource Center to ensure subject matter expertise on current procedural and approach requirements provided by Vibrant Emotional Health.
Attend weekly staff meetings, regular supervisions and other stakeholder meetings as assigned to stay up to date with significant changes, approaches, and upcoming plans to remain consistent with program leadership and maintain continuity from training to shift work.
Participate as a collaborative supervisory team member to ensure consistency between training delivery and shift performance.
Attend shifts regularly to maintain awareness of current shift duties, expectations, culture, and pressures to ensure appropriate training is provided based on the constant evolution of crisis services.
Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. preferred, degrees in Social Services, Psychology, Community, Public Health, or Human Services. Will consider relevant experience in lieu of education.
Prior experience in crisis intervention and/or suicide prevention required. Direct crisis worker experience is preferred.
Ability to attend all training dates without conflict and successfully complete mandatory Crisis Services Training.
Experience facilitating training for small and large groups in a professional setting on skills and knowledge specific to mental health and/or suicide prevention.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate easily understood over chat and text-based service, along with phone skills.
Strong computer skills with various software - Microsoft Products proficient skills experience and proficient typing skills.
Creative problem-solver with a high degree of integrity and personal accountability.
Ability to work individually and within a team environment and adjust to changes in workflow daily.
Expectations Regarding Quality Of Work
Adhere to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Standards, HopeLink Behavioral Health's Policies and Procedures, and appropriate accrediting bodies best practices are followed.
All written materials (i.e., reports, logs, and records) are accurate and thorough and in accordance with defined standards and HopeLink policies.
All electronic communications are sent within two business days using professional language.
All materials (i.e., data, reports, records) are accurate and thorough.
Collaborate across departments to ensure that HopeLink's Crisis Services daily operations run efficiently and effectively.
Secure access to reliable hardwired internet and a desktop or laptop computer that both utilize Zoom and web browser simultaneously and support other platforms as needed.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of information through secured, private workspace.
Perform their job duties from a work-appropriate pre-approved location as outlined in offer letter and onboarding paperwork.
