The Director of Finance/HR at Lion Chaser Development Group is a senior leadership role
responsible for driving the organization’s financial strategy and human resources initiatives. This position ensures
financial health, operational efficiency, and workforce engagement, reporting directly to the CEO and partners.
The Director leads key initiatives across finance, HR, and administration, supporting the organization’s growth
and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support organizational goals and long-term sustainability.
- Lead financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee bi-weekly payroll, payroll tax filings, and month-end close processes in collaboration with ADP.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, prepare weekly cash balance updates, and create CPA tax packages.
- Supervise AP/AR operations, including vendor reconciliations, weekly AP payments, and AR management
- with Restaurant365.
- Manage partner distributions, sales commissions, and recurring client billing true-ups.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including sales tax filings and audits.
- Provide actionable KPIs, trend analyses, and insights to inform leadership decisions.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Manage the recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding processes.
- Oversee employee training programs and performance management initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and umbrella insurance renewals.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational HR policies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to administrative staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate on milestone payouts, project work, and contract renewals.
- Cross-train with administrative personnel and provide coverage during absences.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and partners on special projects and operational improvements.
- Oversee and manage communication, including administrative email support and vendor relationships.
- Lead the optimization of financial and HR systems, including Restaurant365 and other integrated tools like
- PaySimple.
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and process automation to drive efficiency.
- Identify and implement technology-driven improvements in financial and HR operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. CPA or SHRM certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and HR leadership roles.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex financial and HR functions.
- Proficiency in financial and HR software, including R365, ADP, and related platforms.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to deliver actionable insights and drive data-based decision-making.
