Role: Head of Business Development

This is Managerial level role for the position of Business Development Manager.


What you will be doing:

  • Proactively identify and engage Amazon seller prospects through video, phone, and email communications.
  • Lead the development and execution of highly targeted and well-researched outbound email campaigns followed by phone outreach.
  • Oversee and maintain an accurate, high-quality pipeline of prospective clients, ensuring thorough tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to brief on exciting new initiatives, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Amazon sellers, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Drive and manage a target-driven environment, consistently monitoring and achieving sales goals.
  • Mentor and guide the business development team, ensuring their growth and alignment with company objectives.
  • Utilize data insights to refine outreach strategies and enhance client acquisition processes.
  • Represent SwiftStart at industry events and networking opportunities to expand our market presence.

 

Who you will be:

  • A proactive leader who excels in setting direction and taking initiative, with a passion for researching and targeting high-potential Amazon sellers.
  • Exhibiting tenacity, self-motivation, and exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record in business development and sales leadership.
  • Demonstrating exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in a target-driven environment, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding business objectives.
  • Resilient and persistent, with the ability to manage emotions and derive positive learnings from challenges and rejections.
  • Fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment as a strong team leader.
  • Passionate about e-commerce, with experience supporting ambitious Amazon sellers; prior experience in the technology or e-commerce industries is highly advantageous.
  • Able to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge, and effectively close appointments and secure meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in Amazon or e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce industry, particularly Amazon's marketplace dynamics and trends.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, achieving sales targets, and building strategic partnerships.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive strategy and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, sales automation tools, and other relevant technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Genuine passion for the eCommerce industry and a commitment to staying informed about industry developments and trends.
