Senior Accountant Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Connect with clients, gathering information and answering questions
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and financial statements and present their results
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax returns and advise on tax planning opportunities
  • Analyze complex financial reports and records
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Correspond with CRA and government agencies as required
  • Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Other projects as assigned

Experience:

  • An ideal candidate has between 3-5 years experience working with a public accounting firm.
  • CPA or working towards CPA designation considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
