Project Manager
Affinity
ContractOn behalf of our client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager on a contract basis until April 2025. Candidates should be located in Atlantic Canada.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors, project team members, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Provide direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization and various stakeholder groups.
• Develop, manage, and report on schedules, costs, resources, risks, and project objectives at various levels of the organization, including project governance tables.
• Lead project teams to meet objectives and stakeholders’ expectations providing direction and clear communication of the vision for project success.
• Develop and execute risk management and mitigation plans.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Health, IT or related field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in direct Project Management supplemented with demonstrated experience in, but not limited to:
o Agile project development and execution
o Leading large-scale projects and teams
o QA and testing methodologies
• Experience in digital health related projects is preferred.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, standards, and processes.
• Ability to anticipate and manage changes in project scope.
• Proficient in both traditional and agile project management tools and techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective written and oral communication.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a matrix environment and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong awareness of privacy and confidentiality issues.
• Knowledge of QA and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with the provincial healthcare environment.
• Good judgment and ability to build consensus among groups with differing priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills while managing multiple initiatives.
