Software Developer II (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain tools, automated workflows, and comprehensive documentation to ensure scalable software localization and testing.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively anticipating future localization needs.
• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative solutions for delivering localized products to global customers.
• Evaluate products for international readiness, particularly for web/mobile applications and cloud services, providing actionable insights and contributing to necessary development efforts.
• Collaborate with and advise development teams to refine globalization strategies, enhancing international user experience while optimizing localization stability and cost-effectiveness.
• Offer second-level technical support to localization vendor engineering teams.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in web and mobile application development.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, including some or all of the following: Scala, Java, Akka, Slick, Python, JavaScript, C++, and C#.
• Experience with microservices architecture, development, and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana).
• Strong understanding of internationalization best practices and hands-on experience localizing web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL), Content Management Systems, and localization tools (e.g., Passolo, WorldServer, Memsource).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience in process automation and workflow optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing creative technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with multicultural, geographically dispersed teams; leadership experience is a bonus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies is a plus.
