Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and play a vital role in transforming the educational experience for visually impaired students throughout New York. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging and interactive online lessons tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students.
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) to promote student growth and academic success.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student’s educational journey.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology to facilitate effective virtual instruction.
  • Adaptability in modifying lessons to address individual student requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students or a closely related field.
  • Valid New York TVI Certification.
  • Proven experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with visual impairments.
