As Director, Global Influencer Strategy and Talent Relations, you will be responsible for ensuring that Sol de Janeiro's influencer strategy, creator content, immersive experiences, gifting, and activations are globally known for being first-to-market and best in class. This role offers a valuable blend of curating quality relationships internally, while also managing a wide array of external partners and relationships.

This candidate will understand the perfect balance between strategic and creative thinking who approaches creator marketing with an entrepreneurial mindset. They have an exceptional network of quality relationships who trust them, and that can be leveraged at any moment to bring new and exciting campaigns to life.

They are comfortable navigating complex corporate environments and inspired by the opportunity to build and influence this key pillar of the business and industry. They are extremely detail oriented and know how to develop global guidelines, frameworks, and strategies that regional teams can bring to life across key markets in a consistent, impactful, and cohesive manner. They are also experienced in cross-functional partnerships and can adapt quickly to the ever-changing beauty and marketing landscape.

This role will report to the Executive Director, Global Brand Strategy & Consumer Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a growth-driven, innovative global influencer marketing approach that delivers on brand goals, equity, business leadership and consumer affinity.
  • Manage global influencer and brand ambassador programming, delivering always-on brand reach and conversation, and impactful influencer programming to support strategic launches and pillar priorities.
  • Work with leadership, marketing, and cross-functional partners to align Influencer programs with communications calendar, business goals, and to advance the brand's vision, mission, strategy, and culture.
  • Work closely with Global Consumer Engagement and regional marketing teams on go-to-market Influencer campaign strategy for key product and campaign launches. This includes identifying influencer archetypes and creative approach for performance channels.
  • Develop global offerings for product mailers and merch, and provide Influencer event concepts and frameworks to be executed at the regional level.
  • Establish goals and track KPIs to ensure programs are driving acquisition and brand growth, support decisions with ROI-based analysis.
  • Oversee VIP/Celebrity influencer contract generation and revisions with Legal & Indirect Procurement
  • Proactively stay up to date with emerging influencers and trends across social networks including YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitch & Snapchat, monitoring competitors and digital influencer activity across social content to draw key learnings and recommendations for the team.
  • Discover and foster creators and influencers who align with our brand values, with the goal of building long-lasting relationships and cultivating strong brand advocates, achieving competitive retention rates and social reach.
  • This position may require up to 40% travel, including both domestic and international trips. Travel frequency and duration may vary depending on project requirements and business needs. Candidates should be prepared to accommodate travel demands and possess necessary documentation for international travel, such as valid passports and visas.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in talent-facing roles, including but not limited to influencer marketing, global marketing, brand strategy and social media parking a plus.
  • Clear relationship management skills, experience curating unique relationships and building influencer relationships from the ground up.
  • A data driven, self-starter who has experience developing reporting tooling, metrics and specific KPI's to drive business goals.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influencer internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Tangible experience navigating contracts, talent deals, deal points and negotiations at a high level.
  • Extreme attention to detail and experience working cross-functionally and strategically for a globally recognized brand.

Salary Range

$150,000—$175,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
