People Operations Spring Intern - Part-Time Contractor (5 hours/week)

MeBe Family is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. We are seeking a People Operations Intern to work with our People Ops team 5 hours per week beginning in January 2025. The ideal candidate should be interested in pursuing a career in People Ops, have a keen eye for detail, and value discretion.

About What You’ll Work On

• Assist with onboarding and employment processes such as but not limited to:
• Support in reviewing employment eligibility documents during orientation (2:30 pm PST every Monday, unless rescheduled due to holidays)
• Send new hire paperwork to employees via our HRIS
• Share pertinent information with IT team to ensure new hires’ system access
• Assign onboarding tasks and information to new hires in workflow automation software
• Manage onboarding data by creating employee folders on G-Drive, saving signed offer letters to the employee’s respective folder, adding new employee’s pay rate and sign-on bonus (if applicable) to Onboarding Google Sheet.
• Update communication platforms by adding new employees to respective G-Chat groups
• Ensure training and compliance by assigning compliance training modules to new hires via the learning management system
• Assist with various People Operations tasks and projects as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Monday afternoon availability required, for orientation support
• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Ability to work PST hours
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in G Suite applications (Google Drive, Google Chat)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
• Prior experience or coursework in HR or related fields is a plus
