About the role:
In an industry where copyright infringement is common, RHEI stands in the corner of Music Rights Holders, offering the tools and support that allow them to maintain control of their music and intellectual property. RHEI works with music rights holders to diversify their revenue through a suite of tailored rights management services, including anti-piracy, ownership conflict resolution, geographically tailored claiming strategies, and more.
A strong and customizable value offering and flexible deals has allowed RHEI to onboard some of the most prevalent music catalog holders today. We are looking for a full-time Music Sales Representative based in North America who will utilize the resources we provide them and their relationships to sign top tier partners to RHEI’s music rights claiming program.

Music Sales Representative - Key Responsibilities:
● Acquire new partnership accounts for RHEI’s music rights claiming program & services.
● Continuously prospect and look for new catalogs to sign.
● Continuously look for new trends in music and rising/untapped markets to approach for as a new sales target and also provide that feedback to management
● Utilize existing relationships and build new relationships with music rights holders and their teams to pitch other appropriate RHEI services when necessary
● Track all targets/leads and ensure the status on each is always up-to-date while also updating all required internal tracking documents & systems
● Effectively pitch RHEI’s Music Rights Claiming services and put forth a proposal when necessary
● Negotiate terms and deal points with all prospective clients
● Maintain a basic to advanced level of knowledge in respect to the YouTube Content ID claiming system
● Maintain all required YouTube Music Certifications
● Communicate effectively and consistently with the RHEI team and with all leads
● Collect and evaluate feedback from key accounts and, based on that feedback, provide strategic recommendations to the Head of Music on improvements to RHEI’s value adds for Music Rights Management services.
● Respond quickly and effectively to existing and prospective clients
● Assist with the Head of Music with any operational needs when necessary.
● Other duties, as assigned by management, from time to time
Key Requirements:
● +3 years of sales experience. Prior experience within a music industry focused sales or A&R role considered an asset.
● Strong ability to prospect music rights holders, track reach outs, track follow-ups and stay on top of leads
● Vast knowledge of the music streaming industry
● Strong knowledge of social media platforms, music DSPs, and digital music marketing trends
● Ability to take the initiative and drive excellent results
● Must be able to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Understanding of musical asset rights composition and of the elements that make up a fully recorded song or music video
● Understanding of copyrights and how they relate to music and digital video
● Adept knowledge of MS Office Suite or equivalent and Google Apps
● Strong passion for music, technology, and digital media
● Post-secondary education in music is considered an asset
