North Alabama OB-GYN Associates, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is looking to add a fulltime Medical Scheduler to their team!
The Medical Scheduler embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction. This role ensures each patients' encounter is professional, warm, and caring while meeting a patient's individual needs.
This position will train in office for 3-4 weeks, and then transition to a full-time remote position. PRN in-office days.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Answer, triage, and transfer calls
- Create and forward messages/tasks
- Schedules appointments
- Maintain scheduling task list
- Maintain personal task list
- Review and fulfill prescription requests as needed via fax, portal and electronically
- Sort and distribute incoming faxes
- Create orders and/or fax as needed (mammograms, ultrasounds, etc.)
- Checks patients out after their visit and schedule appointments as needed
- Scan and upload documents into patient’s chart
- Initiate and/or complete prior authorizations
- Check voice mail and return messages
- Schedule office lunches
- Maintain portal requests (appointments, prescriptions & messages)
- Customer service-assist patients to the best of our ability so they have a positive experience at at the practice
- Assist with training new employees
- Generate correspondence and forward as needed
- Ensures that all medical appointments, special instructions and patient information is entered into electronic medical system
- Excellent communication skills, and phone etiquette
- Professionalism
- Ability to maintain attention and accuracy while attending to multiple tasks simultaneously Typing skills
- Effective listening skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
