Job Title: Manager, Clinical Data Management - Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Clinical Data Management to join our team in a remote capacity. In this leadership role, you will provide critical data management expertise and ensure the delivery of high-quality data to our internal project teams, clients, and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs). This position offers an opportunity to drive innovation and improvements in data management processes while overseeing a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support internal project teams, clients, and CROs in data management activities, including study startup documents, data cleaning, and query tracking.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of specifications for eCRFs/CRF, edit checks, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Conduct cross-functional data review meetings, identifying issues and tracking them to resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures in all data management activities.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training guidelines.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal study teams, clients, and CROs, providing insights on data quality.
  • Manage project timelines and resources to meet deliverables effectively.
  • Identify and address inconsistencies in data management processes, proposing solutions for efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and manage budgets for ongoing projects.
  • Direct daily activities of team members, including training and performance evaluations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in data management, or a relevant B.S./B.A. with 8 years or an MS degree with 6 years of experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry or CRO environment, with proven managerial skills overseeing teams.
  • Familiarity with SQL or SAS programming is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in various data collection and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Understanding of FDA, EMA, ICH guidelines, and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical data management and a track record in leadership roles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
