What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Interview patients to obtain and document accurate demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility and confirm benefits for services, including coverage limitations and patient liabilities
• Provide price estimates to patients and educate them on their financial responsibilities
• Manage daily worklists and assist in mentoring new staff members
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for patients
  
  

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or equivalent experience in a Patient Access Specialist role
• Proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer programs
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Positive attitude and self-directed work ethic
  
  

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Post-secondary education
• Experience as a subject matter expert with a willingness to support team inquiries
• Background in patient collections within a medical setting
