Job Summary

As part of Sagen’s Sales leadership team, the Regional VP, Western Canada primary goal is to drive sustainable competitive advantage through the leadership and strategic direction of the western sales team. This role will leverage analytics, market intelligence and consistent business routines to develop and implement innovative ideas, concepts, and approaches to growing Sagen’s market share and promote corporate brand recognition and achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales senior leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives, market trends, and customer needs.

Leadership and Team Development: Provide coaching, feedback and professional development opportunities to Account Managers to ensure ongoing development of their knowledge and skills to ensure account management excellence.

Performance Analysis: Create and monitor key performance indicators for Account Managers to evaluate customer satisfaction, sales performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Methodology Framework: Instill the framework to drive a consistent and effective approach to uncovering, addressing, and solving customer related issues that will support the achievement of our strategic goals.

Senior Customer Relationships: Collaborate with the Business Development Leaders to ensure consistency between national and regional initiatives and develop and manage key senior lender contacts focused on improving the overall customer experience.

Marketing and Communications: Promote leadership and team presence during industry and Sagen regional events by managing the appropriate social media presence to promote the Sagen brand.

Voice of the Customer: Work closely with all departments to continually assess the market to identify current and/or future customer needs and requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Risk and Underwriting leadership to ensure teams are aligned around customer needs while balancing the current risk appetite.

Technology Integration: Ensure CRM systems are being utilized effectively, and analytics tools are being leveraged to provide customer value added solution and insights.

Regional Knowledge: Leveraging internal regional risk and operations partnerships as well as external relationships to understand western Canada’s economic, employment, regulatory and industry trends.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience in the mortgage lending industry.
  • University degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in, strategic sales management and coaching, with a proven track record of top line results.
  • Extensive experience leading a sales team.
  • Proven success in managing multiple assignments/priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services and proven success in developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Understanding and knowledge of CRM tools are an asset.
