Junior Graphic Design Freelancer

Vida Shoes International is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Freelancer as our Junior Graphic Designer for the Jambu and Co. footwear division. The selected candidate will work cross functionally with Production, Design, and Marketing. The selected candidate must be innately creative with an eye for design. They should be equally comfortable following specific instructions or creating their own original concepts. Candidate should be able to generate fresh ideas while maintaining each brand’s unique identity. They should be fluent in more than one design aesthetic. The selected candidate should be capable of delivering proof-read, self-edited materials that do not require major technical edits. They should be highly organized, communicative, adaptable to a fast-paced work environment, and very self-sufficient in managing their time and schedules responsibly. Job Title: Junior Graphic Design Freelancer

Compensation: $20-$30 an hour

Must live in NYC and wiling to commute to Midtown office.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conceptualize and create innovative and effective designs for a variety of digital and print projects including but not limited to:
• Tradeshow assets (Seasonal postcards/promo materials, Banners, backdrops, other signage)
• Co-op (print/digital assets, ads for boutique pages, etc.)
• Digital/social banners
• Amazon A+ detail pages
• Monthly Newsletters
• Assist with product photo retouching and formatting for multiple platforms/ customers/ vendors throughout the season.
• Ability to design from ideation to execution.
• Ability to work independently in quick and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to articulate assets for specific products
• Support with digital asset databases and marketing materials.
  
  
  

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Video Editing (After Effects, Premiere/ Final-Cut)
• Experience with MS Office, primarily Word, Power-point, Excel
• Self-starter with creative ideas
• Strong project management skills; ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
• HTML and CSS

• Photo retouching & bulk formatting
• E-blasts
• Social Media assets (posts, videos, animations)
• Digital ads, banners, web content
• Print ads
• Postcards
• Signage / Posters
• Catalogs

Education:

BFA Degree in a Graphic Design or related degree.
