Purpose of the Job
As a DevOps Engineer at Capgemini, you will be involved in research, design, implementation, and support tasks. You will work in accordance with project guidelines, quality standards, and code conventions. You will also investigate, create, and implement solutions for existing technical challenges, including building and enhancing frameworks and tools used by other development teams. Our client is one of the world’s largest social media platforms, dealing with one billion events per day. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the ML Serving platform with proficiency in DevOps/SRE tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Required Education and Experience
As a DevOps Engineer at Capgemini, you will be involved in research, design, implementation, and support tasks. You will work in accordance with project guidelines, quality standards, and code conventions. You will also investigate, create, and implement solutions for existing technical challenges, including building and enhancing frameworks and tools used by other development teams. Our client is one of the world’s largest social media platforms, dealing with one billion events per day. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the ML Serving platform with proficiency in DevOps/SRE tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Obtain tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepare functional and design specifications, and get approvals from all stakeholders.
- Ensure that assigned areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
- Provide estimations, agree on task durations with the manager, and contribute to the project plan of assigned areas.
- Analyze the scope of alternative solutions and make decisions about area implementation based on experience and technical expertise.
- Lead the functional and architectural design of assigned areas, ensuring design decisions meet architectural and design requirements.
- Address area-level risks, provide and implement mitigation plans.
- Report on area readiness/quality and raise red flags in crisis situations beyond your area of responsibility (AOR).
- Resolve crisis situations within your AOR.
- Initiate and conduct code reviews, create code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
- Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.
- Constantly improve your professional level.
- Collaborate with other teams.
Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Solid automation experience in at least one of the following: Python, Bash.
- Proficiency in DevOps/SRE tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins (CI/CD), Ansible or equivalent) and experience with the following tech stack:
- Strong coding skills primarily in Python.
- AWS stack (EC2, S3, ECR, , Lambda, CloudWatch, EKS).
- Ability to organize and document solutions.
- A passion for ML systems and processes to simplify complex tasks.
- Good English (oral & written); strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLFlow, Kubeflow) and tools.
