Job Summary



The Director of Billing and Fund Administration is responsible for developing, implementing, and revising billing and funding processes and policies in concert with the 401k, 457, 403b, and IRA recording keeping billing process, ensuring the billing, collection and financial activities of the areas are completed in coordination with the Finance Department of the system. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department




Job Responsibilities



  • Provide leadership and day to day management of all components of Billing and Accounts Receivable related to the fee’s associated in the platform management of 401k, 403b, 457, and IRA to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of such functions.

  • Mentor and lead a growing team of payments analysts and business operations individuals through ambiguous circumstances and fast paced deliverables

  • Ensure the quarterly, annual, and other reports are timely and accurate in conformity with Accounting and Finance GAAP standards.

  • Identify industry trends and new technologies processes to facilitate an efficient billing experience and maintain a high-level payment success rate

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates accurate and timely Billing and Fund Administration reporting metrics to management.

  • Develop, manage, and achieve annual budget for the Billing and Collection department.

  • Manage the development of billing/ERP automation improvements to minimize manual “workarounds” in the billing process.

  • Ensure Billing and Fund Administration initiatives are aligned, deployed, and maintained per Company policy.

  • Assist internal and external audit functions as required.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Billing staff and Team Leads

  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the goals of the Billing and Collection team and Company.

  • Assists in automating billing production files.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Finance, Accounting or Business

  • 10+ years proven experience in supervising Billing and Fund Administration activities, prior Financial Services background preferred.

  • Extensive experience in managing teams, outstanding customer service skills.

  • Experience in the implementation and management of automated Accounting and Fund Administration systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated track record of integrity, effective communication, innovation and excellence.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, outstanding team player and ability to meet strict deadlines and commitments

  • Knowledge of Retirement plans and industry

  • Experience with Salesforce and Relius platforms

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of billing principles, practices, and processes

  • Ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Compensation Information



The average salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $185,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
