About Aurora Solar

Aurora is on a mission to create a future of solar for all. Our award-winning software puts the power of data and technology into the hands of every solar professional to make solar adoption simple and predictable. Our software has designed millions of solar projects so far, empowering solar companies to sell, design, and install residential and commercial solar arrays accurately, seamlessly, and at scale.

We are a remote-first collaborative team of sustainable energy enthusiasts who love what we do. We’ve been named one of "The Best Mid-Sized Remote Companies To Work for in 2024" by BuiltIn.com and have been recognized for the second time as a Certified Green Business (CGB) with the city of San Francisco. We’re in this together to support the world’s transition to solar.

About the Team

This role will be a key member of our platform domain, responsible for expanding Aurora’s centrality in the Solar and Electrification ecosystem. We see Aurora as increasingly central to that vision, using our design excellence to help customers and partners make their businesses more accurate and profitable as the foundation of the electrification revolution. Platform PMs think deeply about how to make our systems as extensible as possible, as they partner with PMs across all of Aurora Solar and HelioScope.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead our Self-Serve and Growth team, responsible for establishing the infrastructure our customers will use to sign up and pay for their Aurora usage. This team is also responsible for focusing on opportunities to better retain customers, and help them gain access to additional features. Finally: we see our self-serve and credit platforms as strategic tools; enabling our partners expand their businesses as they distribute, and incentivize usage of their own products.

Your Impact

  • Own the experience minimizing the friction for any customer to quickly buy and onboard onto Aurora Solar, maintaining and growing our self-serve channel and making this revenue more efficient to deliver

  • Define a vision and execute a strategy to improve retention of our self-serve customers, while also considering how this may benefit customers of all sizes

  • Maintain and scale our credit service. Define the product strategy for the pricing and packaging of Aurora product features

  • Define and implement strategies for product-led growth, helping customers expand their use of the full set of features that we offer

  • Serve as a key partner for other PMs to ensure that they implement and price new features

  • Codify standard processes and tools for both our billing infrastructure and data infrastructure, enabling this function to scale dramatically

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience focused on web products (B2B SaaS preferred, or mix of B2B and B2C) with a strong foundation of product-building skills across engineering, design, strategy, analytics, and user research

  • Experience defining and optimizing a purchase funnel

  • Experience working on billing and provisioning of enterprise-grade products

  • Have led major projects from start to finish, including measuring impact and iteration. Possess strong prioritization skills and stakeholder management. Able to articulate priorities among a mix of projects

  • Big thinker: strong product vision, and customer advocacy, with the ability to tie your work back to the business strategy

  • Ability to help a small team achieve goals out of their comfort zone and influence company management

  • Outcome-oriented: articulates the desired outcome and works collaboratively to create a path to achieve it; proven track record of bringing simplicity and measurable results to complex, ambiguous situations

  • Rigorous: asks hard questions, validates their assumptions, and guides the way to achieving goals

  • Analytical and technical: experienced in highly-matrixed product development, effective at finding critical points of leverage to measure

  • Experience communicating complex visions, plans, and strategies to a variety of audiences

  • Passionate about crafting quality customer experiences

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working with critical software vendors

  • Experience with Sales or Revenue Ops a plus

  • Strong financial data background: strong opinion about what data matters and what doesn’t, and how it can be quickly and informatively presented to different consumers of the data

  • Capable Project or Program management of large, technically complex projects in you past

What We Offer

  • Flexible PTO - Take the time when you need it

  • Parental Leave - 16 weeks with 100% base salary + gradual return to work
