Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Contract Professional to work remotely.
Overview:
The Contract Professional will provide support for large project contract management. Experience with complex contracts and actively managing foreseeable contract changes and potential impacts managing foreseeable contract changes and potential impacts is required.
Role Accountabilities
- Perform contract management activities by applying expert knowledge of contract management practices while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Mange Technology Contracts, advise & negotiate as required for new and renewed contracts; work with client Legal on drafting and contract reviews ensuring contracts move quickly and smoothly from creation to negotiation to execution’ scope includes Consulting Service Agreements, Change Orders, Project Orders, Statements of Work, Enterprise Agreements, Enterprise License Agreements, Cloud-based Subscriptions
- Ensure suppliers fulfill their contractual obligations by monitoring contract performance, identifying issues, taking timely action to resolve issues, and communicating with stakeholders to minimize risk and maximize supplier performance.
- Establish and maintain a meaningful relationship between suppliers, stakeholders, and supply chain organization through activities such as timely communication, resolution of issues, and relevant reporting enabling the successful implementation of sourcing initiatives.
- Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage to ensure contract and finance control policies and budget requirements are met.
- Provide guidance and advice to client groups in the sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts using excellent knowledge of public sector procurement law, and the application of supply chain concepts to get the best value
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or related discipline, or equivalent
- A minimum nine (9) years of contract management work experience.
- Experience with complex contracts and actively managing foreseeable contract changes and potential impacts managing foreseeable contract changes and potential impacts
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
- Experience managing and understanding information technology contracts including hardware (Infrastructure including Data Centre and Telecommunications), software (SaaS, Software License), application maintenance service (AMS), Value Added Reseller (VAR) and professional services contracts is an asset.
- Certificate in Project Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent, an asset
