POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for outside and the inside sales functions of Amphenol Network Solutions. The Director of Sales is expected to drive strategy and execution in alignment with the corporate mission. Expected to identify risks in business, changes in market, and offer solutions to position the business for success. This position is expected to provide a customer level forecast and report monthly to leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Aggressively set and manage Amphenol Network Solutions sales goals and strategic objectives

  • Assist in setting Strategic Vision for the Organization

  • Create and hold accountable to Key Performance Indicators

  • Create and Manage Incentive Plans for Sales

  • Manage and Oversee Strategic Account Sales Strategies and Regional Sales Strategies

  • Create Strategies for Net New Customer Acquisition

  • Manage Strategic Accounts

  • Work with other Amphenol Key Account Managers to grow within customer targets

  • Support the Sales team on Sales Calls

  • Manage Executive Relationships with partners, key customers, and sister companies

  • Manage Customer and Partner Contracts

  • Report Activities to the Strategic Leadership Team

  • Demonstrate and grow technical proficiency with Amphenol Network Solutions products and technology to ensure competency in all product areas. Ability to present and demonstrate all Amphenol Network Solutions products in their applications is a must.

  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and good stewardship by setting Amphenol Network Solutions’ sales budget

  • Demonstrate and encourage a cooperative and congenial working relationship between others, both within and outside the company.

  • Identify new opportunities for Amphenol Network Solutions and document market trends for company product roadmaps.

  • Work with the Product Management team to develop and respond to products that resonate in the market place

  • Manage, own, and communicate a monthly sales forecast

DESIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or related field, and/or equivalent experience.

  • Five years’ successful sales management experience required

  • Sales experience in enterprise data centers or telecommunications market

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent relational sales and presentation skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Amphenol Network Solutions currently uses PC or Mac Computers. Microsoft Office is still the standard, but technology moves fast and thus a willingness to learn and try is important. Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems is required.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This employee must be able to move 75 pounds, and must be able to sit, stand, type and be on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to transport themselves to and from client locations.



MENTAL DEMANDS

Ability to concentrate and focus on detailed information for long periods. Ability to self-educate to research and resolve technical issues. Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers, internal and external customers. Requires repetitive reviewing of numbers and other information and nearly mistake free work performance.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires you to spend time in an office environment, as well as time accomplishing objectives in a remote work setting. Travel is required for this position, both domestically and internationally as needed. Extensive travel is required.



COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $170,000/year-$225,000/year

Status: Exempt

Other Compensation Offered: Bonus – This position is eligible for bonus pay based on the performance of the Company.
