We are on the grow again and searching for a Software Engineer III. The Software Engineer III is responsible for working as part of a team on implementing new features and fixing bugs on our products.


This position is eligible for full remote opportunity for individuals living and working in the states of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas for individuals living out of the local area. This position will require regular travel if not living in the local area.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work on a cross functional team as a cross functional team member.

  • Be an expert with at least one of the technologies in our tech stack and act as a thought leader for that technology within the company.

  • Mentor other Development team members.

  • Work closely with team members to refine the scope of work for features/bugs and implement solutions.

  • Full stack web application development with a variety of languages including but not limited to PHP, Scala, JavaScript, HTML, TSQLm etc.

  • Participate in code reviews.

  • Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Requirements:

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the qualifications, skills, and abilities required and preferred:



  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience developing software.

  • In-depth experience with at least one back end programming language such as PHP, C#, or Java. Experience with a functional programming language such as Scala is a plus.

  • In-depth experience with JavaScript and front end JavaScript libraries. Experience with ExtJS is a plus.

  • Experience with mobile development, particularly using React Native, is a plus.

  • Experience developing APIs (REST, RPC, SOAP, etc).

  • Experience working with a relational database such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

  • Experience using a version-control system such as git.

  • Passionate about writing quality code and constantly honing your development skills.

  • Ability to understand the big picture, come up with great new ideas, and follow through to make it happen.

  • Deep understanding of software development principles.

  • Comfortable developing using pair programming.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong planning and organizing skills and attention to details.

  • Ability to work with people and work as part of a team.

  • Must be able to work in an environment in which constant deadlines exist.

  • Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position.

  • Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow.
