We are looking for a Clinical Project Management Director within the CNS Global Project Leadership Unit to support CNS Growth through the leadership of customer engagement, proposal and bid defence opportunities, particularly within Emerging Biopharma (EBP) and Small Pharma customer sectors, as well as to direct and manage a number of teams responsible for clinical delivery of complex; global full service, multi-regional studies and/or programs.


A particular focus on Psychiatry (depression, schizophrenia, and/or mood disorders) is required and any experience of working in the EBP/Small Pharma customer sector is desirable.



You will hold responsibility for the direction and management of portfolios and/or accounts from operational perspective. Day to day you will ensure that studies and/or programs are delivered on time whilst ensuring strong financial performance and customer satisfaction and in accordance with SOPs, policies, and practices from pre-award to close-out.



You will work closely with Business Development, CNS Centre of Excellence, and the CNS Portfolio Heads to prepare for and lead therapeutically driven early engagement conversations with prospective customers. You will also be responsible for leading the proposal and bid defence efforts for assigned opportunities.



This position has the scope to leverage your therapeutic expertise and combine with IQVIA's suite of solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership with our customers.



Job Description



  • Responsible for the management and delivery of large and/or complex studies or programs of studies. Serve as primary project/program/portfolio contact with customer and own relationship with key customer contact(s). Drive consistency and ensure financial success.

  • Collaborate with other functional groups within the company where necessary to support milestone achievement and to manage study issues and obstacles.

  • Contribute to the development of the project delivery strategy for Request for Proposals (RFPs). Participate in bid defence preparations and lead presentations in partnership with business development for large, complex, multi-service, multi-region studies or programs.

  • Direct the execution of clinical studies while optimizing speed, quality and cost of delivery and ensuring consistent use of study tools and training materials and compliance with standard processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Set objectives for the core project team according to agreed-upon contract, strategy and approach, effectively communicate and assess performance.

  • Proactively manage strategic risk (positive and negative) and contingencies and lead problem solving and resolution efforts. Forecast and identify opportunities to accelerate activities to bring revenue forward.

  • Provide input to line managers of their project team members’ performance and support staff development including mentoring less experienced project team members.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field

  • 8-10 years of prior experience, including substantial global, full service, project management experience, with both domestic and international project management experience.

  • Ability to manage large/complex global cross functional project teams with timeline management and budgetary responsibility.

  • Experience of working with EBP and Small pharma clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead early engagement discussions with clients and leadership of proposal and bid defence.

  • Strong leadership skills with a flexible, proactive and solution focused approach to managing staff, clients, and project related issues in accordance with demanding timeliness. Ability to be work within a fluid, fast paced environment with proven decision-making skills.

  • Strong personal skills to influence without authority, motivate others and manage conflict (internally and externally)

  • Exceptional Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously and adaptively on multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • Due to the nature of this position, it may be required for the employee to travel both domestically and internationally.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $148,300.00 - $275,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
