Our growth has been exponential in recent years. Our HR department was formed about 2 years ago, and we are now seeking an experienced HR Recruiting Specialist.


Our student base is growing rapidly and we are currently hiring for multiple positions across several departments! Our expansion stems from two key factors: our commitment to providing exceptional educational content to our students by scaling our team with passionate individuals, and our pursuit of new opportunities to enhance our students' learning experiences by broadening our capabilities and expertise as an organization.

About the Role: Our HR team has many irons in many fires! HR needs fluctuate day-to-day, week-to-week, but most of the tasks outlined in the ‘job responsibilities’ section are ongoing. The Human Resources team works to support recruitment, manages the onboarding and offboarding tasks of employees and contractors, researches and stays updated on compliance laws (federal/state/local), develops new policies and procedures, and supports Miaplaza’s managers across all departments. Above all else, we do our best each day to help foster a culture of kindness, compassion, and respect.


In this role, you'll also help leverage our Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline our hiring process, ensuring an efficient and bias-free candidate evaluation. Your experience working with ATS will help us maintain a competitive edge in recruiting top talent efficiently.


Because of the growth of our company and department, this role may grow into more of a leadership position as needs change.


Job Responsibilities:


Recruitment



  • Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, ensuring a smooth and organized recruitment process from initial application to final decision

  • Keep hiring managers updated at every stage of the hiring process

  • Assist with HR Interviews and references for prospective employees (15-30 minute phone conversations, using the appropriate interview template & keeping notes for manager)

  • Respond to candidates’ emails in a timely and courteous manner

  • Assist the HR team and hiring managers in ensuring that bias is removed from the hiring process and all candidates have an equal opportunity to succeed

  • Get candidates excited about the opportunity for working at Miaplaza!


General Administration



  • Assist with general administration needs as they arise (i.e. filing signed policies, data entry, etc.)


Special Projects



  • We’re always dreaming up ideas/ways to improve here in HR, and so other special projects are inevitable!

Experience: We are looking for candidates who have experience in recruiting. At least 1 year of experience is required. 3 or more years is preferred.
