Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

The purpose of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will be to lead all planning, budgeting and forecasting across company. Primary point of contact for all profitability analysis including evaluation of existing and proposed service offerings. Will lead preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly operations reviews with ELT.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing and maintaining driver-based forecast models in coordination with Service Delivery, Sales, Marketing and other key constituents


• Responsible for product profitability analysis


• Responsible for evaluating segment level profitability including Professional Services, Managed Services and Resale activity


• Preparation and presentation of monthly operations reviews


• Variance analysis by segment including comparison of actuals to prior year, budget and forecast


• Financial support for business cases including new service offerings and cost savings initiatives


• Preparation of board materials


• Lead development of dashboards to improve visibility to KPIs in coordination with IT teams and coordinate with Service and Sales to ensure relevance of reports

Additional Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships across Executive team and serve as a business partner to executive leaders in Service Delivery and Sales


• Responsible for managing one analyst, ideally with experience managing off-shore resources


• Additional duties as required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance


• 7+ years of FP&A experience in a recurring revenue environment, ideally in Managed Services


• Ability to present information to senior management in a manner that is clear and concise.


• Knowledge of ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise CPQ.


• Experience leading forecast processes across +$150M revenue organization


• Experience retrieving pipeline, sales, and bookings data from CRM tools and building linkages to forecast models


• Exceptional Excel skills including ability to build driver-based models


• Experience using NetSuite and NSPB or similar ERP and Reporting software


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.


• Experience in business analysis, profit/loss responsibility and a good understanding of financial concepts.


• Excellent service skills, with the ability to create/cultivate trust relationships with vendors and co-workers and remain calm in stressful circumstances.
