About the Role:


We are seeking a center of excellence leader for our Benefits, Compliance and Policy Team who is self-motivated, curious and deeply steeped in process and data. This role will be part of the HR Leadership Team and will partner with other COE leaders in L&D/Culture, Compensation, Systems and Business Partner leaders in HR and Recruiting. This role will determine the strategic focus for the global space as well as design the strategic programs, leaning on a growing team for execution. The goal is to create a consistent approach to benefits, compliance, policy and payroll across the enterprise, globally. You will be responsible for understanding the space landscape in the US, Mexico, Belize, India and the Netherlands and will design programs that meet the needs of the local requirements as well as be as consistent for employee experience as possible. You will partner proactively with not only the HRLT, but the specific geographic leaders as well to execute the programs. You will be an agent of change, embracing evolution of the HR profession through your work and enabling greater scale as the company grows.




Here is more of what you’ll get to do:


  • Oversee the team responsible for all day-to-day ticket management via HR services tool focused on benefits, policy & compliance

  • Build the compliance roadmap to sustain the federal, state and local regulatory requirements, partnering closely with Corporate and General Counsel

  • Build the benefits roadmap to meet the needs of local employee groups, support the attraction of new talent and provide a consistent employee experience. This includes medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, COBRA, disability, life insurance, AD&D, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans while maintaining an in-depth understating of all benefit programs and eligibility requirements) ensuring they meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements and are cost effective

  • Build the policy roadmap and recommending operating policy and procedural improvements.

  • Design and drive strategic improvements, as a business owner, to the HRIS system for the compliance, benefits, policy and payroll pieces, working collaboratively with the systems owner.

  • Oversee the team, vendors and partners responsible for day-to-day administration of benefits

  • Ensure communications about programs in the space are updated – onboarding, system, intranet, emails, etc.

  • Design and drive the audit process and reporting for benefits, compliance and policy

  • Oversee process to maintain state-by-state, country-by-country compliance of labor, leave and pay practices

  • Create and with the team, draft the company policies, procedures, and documentation for your space. Maintain the Employee Handbook.

  • Partner on development and execution of compliance training, as needed.

  • Oversee resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.

  • Coach and develop team in day-to-day benefits, leave, policy/compliance work.





You’ll thrive in this role if you have:


  • 10+ years’ of experience leading a multi-discipline function in benefits, compliance, payroll and policy

  • 5+ years’ of global experience and deeply demonstrated knowledge of benefits programs and how they work together to add to total rewards

  • 5+ years’ of experience in managing compliance issues as it relates to HR operations

  • Advanced proficiency in process design, program management

  • Extensive experience in using ADP Workforce Now

  • Excellent communication skills in speech and writing

  • Comfort working at and moving between high level planning and tactical details, being able to make decisions that are data driven

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where focus is on growth and scale

  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with and grow a team

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or relevant field required
