Akamai MFA is a multi-factor authentication service which secures account logins for employees and customers. The Akamai MFA engineering team operates with the autonomy of a startup to bring new security experiences to leading identity platforms.

Partner with the best

You'll work closely with our engineering experts to design and implement features, set technical direction, manage team priorities, and craft a roadmap for our mobile apps. Initiatives are driven by engineers within a highly collaborative process based on modern Github and Slack workflows integrated across system components. We learn from our peers and users to ship a great product our customers deserve.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying new features for the Akamai MFA iOS app


• Maintaining iOS and macOS components for reliability, performance, and security


• Planning and leading roadmap initiatives which leverage mobile capabilities


• Reviewing designs and contributions to the Android app in Kotlin and backend services in Rust


• Collaborating with technical support staff to resolve issues and delight customers


• Providing expertise and mentorship for other stakeholders within Akamai

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent


• Have solid experience developing native iOS apps in Swift with an understanding of UI design principles


• Have high standards for quality with a pragmatic approach to build and test automation


• Have self-driven motivation to discover and sponsor product initiatives with material business impact


• Have experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting engineers on adjacent components


• Have experience with, knowledge of, or eagerness to learn Kotlin and Rust

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
