The opportunity
As the Director of Faculty Team Lead Operations, you will report to the Assistant Vice President of the Center for Online Learning and Teaching (COLT). You'll provide support and consistent, accurate performance evaluations to faculty through their work with our Faculty Team Leads. The primary responsibility of your role is to manage a team of Team Lead Training and Development Facilitators, and a Program Manager, offering support, and partnering on a variety of issues as they support the performance of 200+ team leads. Additionally, you will oversee recommended development and ongoing maintenance and reporting of our faculty evaluation portal. You'll also serves as the liaison between COLT and other internal partners to solicit and organize feedback inform strategic improvements within the department

What you'll do:
- Design and oversee a performance management framework for adjunct faculty that supports best practices in pedagogy and andragogy to support learner success and experience.
- Work with and influence leaders at all levels in a matrixed organization, adapt and work at both strategic and tactical levels
- Create and collaborate with internal and external data teams and developers to enhance dashboards and faculty apps that support measurements, faculty scope, scale, and adherence to requirements.
- Use discretion to uphold accurate faculty and team lead assessment with the goal of norming performance across all curricular areas.
- Oversee application of procedures to provide consistency across a diverse faculty pool.
- Analyze trends to inform strategic direction of short and long-term efficiencies for faculty oversight.
- Analyze incoming and outgoing data to inform decision-making related to team lead communications.
- Establish metrics, Service level agreements, and goals related to the use of team lead support email as vehicles for incoming inquiries.
- Prioritize different projects to ensure daily workflows are completed within prescribed time frames.
- Collaborate with partners on creative solutions relevant to business demands that meet program needs and maintain university standards.
- Train, coach, and oversee individual contributors on the Faculty Team Lead Operations Team to ensure agreement on the institutional mission, vision, and goals.
What we're looking for:
- Master’s degree
- 4+ years of experience, including working in higher education
- Four or more years of classroom teaching
- Prior experience managing leadership development programs
- Experience coaching and delivering feedback and assessment
- Experience manipulating, summarizing, and analyzing data
