Position Details
(What will you be doing?)


We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Sr. Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The Sr. Benefits Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering employee benefit programs that meet the needs of our diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.


As part of the HR Operations team, this role will also support employee needs including those related to HRIS, Payroll, Employee Programs and Onboarding. Additional responsibilities may also include execution of HR programs including but not limited to compensation, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, employee engagement, and occupational health and safety.





Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.

  • Administer benefits enrollment and changes for new hires, qualifying life events, COBRA, and annual open enrollment periods.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on benefit plans, answering employee inquiries and providing guidance on coverage options, eligibility criteria, and claims processes.

  • Collaborate with insurance brokers, providers, retirement plan administrators, and other benefits vendors to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure smooth service delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing employee benefit programs, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, and FMLA.

  • Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations to communicate benefit offerings to employees and facilitate understanding of their options.

  • Analyze benefit utilization data, costs, and employee feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to employee benefits.

  • Administer all types of leaves of absence and accommodations, including FMLA, personal leave, disability leave, and other statutory or company-sponsored leave programs.

  • Administer benefit carrier connections and process benefits invoices.





Education & Experience (What education and experience will you need to be successful?)



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.

  • Strong understanding of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits, such as the ACA, ERISA, FMLA and ADA.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience working with ADP as a HRIS Software or deep experience working in similar HRIS

  • Expert level Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dynamic charts)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

$90,000 - $105,000 (annually) Base Salary*



  • This position is also eligible for a 12% corporate bonus and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
