BASIC PURPOSE: The Cybersecurity Engineer is a high impact role and will be responsible for improving Clario’s overall security capabilities and maturity. To do so, the engineer will work with teams across the enterprise to solve complex problems in innovative ways. We optimize for agility and speed, so we are looking for a professional with a well-rounded profile, strong foundations and a desire to learn new things. The ideal candidate should have a broad background in enterprise security services such as Network and Endpoint Security as well as Identity and Access Management. The individual will also be responsible for configuring and managing some of our security tooling such as CyberArk. This is a “hands on” role requiring both good communication skills as well as technical knowledge

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


You will report to and work closely with Clario’s Enterprise Security Architect to execute on a portfolio of projects which can span across the entire spectrum of Information Security domains. As Clario grows and refines its technology, the security team’s work is never done! As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will have the following core responsibilities:


  • Breaking & Fixing: Identify security problems and build, implement, and enhance high-quality solutions. Ensure Clario's systems and processes adhere to security and best practices for cloud, network, host, and identity management. Work across Clario to champion best practices in security.

  • Identify “fit for purpose” Solutions: Rather than compromise security, customer experience, or productivity, work to achieve the best of all three. Research and design ways to achieve risk reduction objectives in creative ways. Analyze current security tools and services to determine opportunities for enhancement. Proactively research new and emerging technologies and approaches to enhance the security posture of Clario.

  • Project Management and Delivery: Function as a technical lead and SME in various Information Security, IT, and projects as directed. Plan and direct projects to design and build foundational security controls.

  • Automation: Support functional teams to identify patterns that can be automated to ease the adoption of security controls and help the organization to shift left and achieve results and speed with acceptable level of security.

  • Configuration and Management: Configure and manage security tools (e.g. CyberArk) to achieve security goals. Establish the run-time management of security tools and processes for ensuring high availability, including deployment architecture, operational monitoring, backup and restore and managing centralized roles/rights. Implement and manage Privileged Access Management Platform (PAM).

  • Audit Support: Execute processes needed for compliance purposes (e.g. access reviews) and support other compliance tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:


Education:


  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or related field. NOTE: Associates Degree based on relevant experience and certifications will also be considered

  • Relevant Security Certifications are a plus (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, Security+)




Experience:



  • 3+ years of overall experience in information technology including system technology, infrastructure, networking, cloud, and hosting services

  • 1-3 years experience in one or more of the following roles: Cybersecurity Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Network Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst

  • Ability to assess and minimize business impact while strengthening security posture

  • Understanding of various security frameworks. Strong knowledge of all components of holistic security architecture and design and the ability to explain proposed solutions and recommendations to stakeholders from different technical backgrounds

  • Experience with identity and access management concepts such as SAML federation, OAUTH and MFA. CyberArk experience is a plus

  • Ability to manage one’s time, focus and priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across the organization

  • Excellent stakeholder management.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to describe complex & abstract security and technical concepts to a non-technical audience
