Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach AVMG 601 – Evolution of Airports
Course Description
The course commences with an exploration of the historical development of airports and their transformation into modern hubs of transportation and commerce. Students will be acquainted with fundamental principles of airport operations, the significance of security in the post-9/11 era, and the broader role airports play within the global aviation network. Concepts such as passenger facilitation, airside and landside operations, major milestones in airport growth, and the relationships between airlines and airport authorities will be discussed
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
Qualifications
Terminal Degree From List and Relevant Experience/Industry Credential (basic self-report documentation required). Graduate Degree from List and Relevant Experience/Industry Credential (detailed and verifiable documentation required and Program Coordinator approval). 3 Years (or more) Airport Experience or Airport Management/Leadership Industry Certificate (e.g., IATA, AEEE, ACI, etc.)
