Position Overview:



As a Vice President of software engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our core product EnsembleIQ within our organization. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of guiding day-to-day engineering development of EIQ and drive migration to the strategic platforms. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, strong communication skills, large scale team management, strategic program delivery management capabilities and talent management to drive the successful implementations that align with our business objectives



Key Responsibilities:



Leading Engineering Teams:


  • Be the lead technologist and ensure architecture and the engineering teams develop the best technical designs for hybrid and cloud-based products at scale.

  • Deliver world class products through engineering teams utilizing Agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies.

  • Effectively communicate technology strategy to all levels within the business

  • Ensure that quality system requirements are effectively established, maintained and reported

  • Meet Security and Regulatory Compliance standards

  • Build applications that meet the security requirements in a HIPAA / HITECH / HITRUST environment.



Collaboration Across the Business:


  • Collaborate with the product management teams, Ops team, Implementation and security teams to deliver valuable solutions that our Ops teams love.

  • Influence and represent the needs of the business to multiple stakeholder groups at all levels; able to navigate complex and competing interest of multiple stakeholders.

  • Work with leaders across the organization to come up with creative solutions for our Ops teams.



Product Roadmap/Strategy:


  • Work with business and product leadership to understand business strategy and in response create multi-year technology strategic roadmaps to ensure ‘one vision’ for execution.

  • Lead all technology efforts and create the technology roadmap and plan, outlining clear goals and executing on the plan in conjunction with organizational goals. Ensuring alignment across all touchpoints.

  • Create, implement, and document strategic architecture vision and tactical directions for engineering teams.

  • Assist with planning, prioritizing and executing on our product roadmap.



Execution:


  • Move with a strong sense of urgency, problem solver who takes initiative.

  • Design overall engineering operating model, including talent, geography, and insource/outsource strategies.

  • Define and communicate software delivery performance standards and measures that motivate and drive leaders and employees to achieve greater quality, productivity and more importantly better outcomes.

  • Drive technical excellence across our product lines.

  • Support departmental operating and capital budgets in compliance with company directives and timelines to deliver against product road map.



People Management:


  • Encourage the growth of all direct and indirect reports through skill development and goal setting.

  • Lead, manage and develop the technology team, coaching for growth/development while fostering a collaborative and open team environment.

  • Mentor staff, measure performance, and complete regular performance reviews.




Qualifications:


  • Proven leadership ability- Strong innovative and entrepreneurial skills; strong orientation and commitment to external and internal customer service; excellent ability to manage in a fast-paced growing environment.

  • At least 10 years of related software experience including at least 3 years of managing engineering/development teams. Hands-on experience managing multiple teams, including remote and offshore team members.

  • Experience assessing, developing and implementing change to the overall technology roadmap, evolving that strategy to drive overall company growth goals.

  • Ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders including the senior leadership team and clients.

  • Additionally, experience with Digital Transformations, Cloud Technologies, large scale enterprise grade systems.

  • Experience coaching Agile transformation efforts and leading Agile (preferably Scrum) development.

  • Experience working in regulated environments HIPPA/HITECH/HITRUST environment

  • Proven track record in successfully evaluating, building, mentoring and managing technology teams.

  • Experience delivering cloud applications using Azure / AWS / GCP technologies

  • Experience in the Revenue Cycle Management domain would be an added advantage.
