About the Role



As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll lead the design of sophisticated solutions, meeting user and non-functional requirements while championing microservices and adopting cutting-edge technologies. Your pivotal role involves constant refactoring for efficiency, embedding risk and security controls, and contributing to the strategic development of platform architecture. Engaging in the SDLC cycles, you ensure seamless alignment of production infrastructure with impending feature releases. Your strategic thinking addresses risks, benefits, and conflicts, while collaboration with peer teams focuses on successful integration points. Your expertise encompasses risk assessments, design analysis for new business requirements, and leadership in delivering transformative initiatives within complex global environments

Responsibilities

• Design elegant solutions to complex problems which satisfy user & non-functional requirements.


• Champion microservices with asynchronous communication


• Work on adopting new technologies/tools


• Constant attention to refactor and improve efficiency


• Design & engineer solutions and services with embedded risk and security controls as mitigation against threats


• Create strategic solutions that consider the risk, benefits, and conflicts of the situation


• Participate in strategic development of platform architecture and infrastructure


• Participate in SDLC cycles to ensure production infrastructure and processes are compatible with impending feature releases


• Perform risk assessments of engineering solutions and designs


• Contribute to analysis for new business requirements


• Work with peer teams to deliver successfully on integration points

Qualifications

• Experienced Technology Lead with broad knowledge and skills across Technology and Business


• Extensive experience in backend microservices and databases


• Required experience in Node.js


• Detailed experienced in Agile development teams


• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in hands on leadership with technology delivery, design, and development.


• Experience in diverse range of IT landscape in a large complex institution and global multinational


• Exemplary communication and stakeholder management skills


• Leading by example, with hands on engineering attitude


• Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple parallel deliveries


• Experience working on Front of technology platforms


• Should have led and demonstrated transformation initiatives in complex global environment and progressive companies
