Full timePrimary Responsibilities
In accordance with Hylant standards, procedures, and brand values:
1. Serves as the key service contact to identify, design, communicate and implement cost-effective benefit solutions; responds to requests for assistance in a timely and collaborative manner.
2. Ensure all records are complete and accurate both at the time of renewal and at the point of final information; confirms records are continuously maintained and updated for the accepted lines of coverage
3. Leading strategy as it pertains to the clients' Employee Benefits program.
4. Works closely and build relationships with client contacts
5. Ensures and maintains the existing client base plus the up-selling of insurance products as appropriate for the client
6. Managing current book of business renewals including preparing and sending out RFPs, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing quotes, and proposal preparation and presentation to the client where applicable.
7. Initiates the renewal negotiation process on behalf of the client
8. Responsible for client open enrollment communications and distribution of client plan documents to include SBC, SPD, certificates, carrier renewal/implementation paperwork.
9. Facilitating completion of carrier renewal/implementation paperwork and managing carrier issues on implementation.
10. Manage client data gathering, data entry, accuracy, and auditing of our Agency Management System including documentation of services provided and of all activities in our Agency Management System
11. Acting as a mentor or trainer to others
12. Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
Qualifications
- At least 1 to 3 years of Group Benefits Insurance industry knowledge is required.
- Prior experience in medical benefits and ancillary lines of coverage required.
- Life and Health Insurance License required.
- Experience working for an insurance brokerage firm is required.
- Self-directed team player
- Have excellent communication skills; including listening, speaking and writing
- Represent Hylant core values (Family, Hard Work, Honesty, Respect, Empathy) and follow protocols
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Work Environment
- Work is generally performed in a typical office environment with limited exposure to physical risk or physical effort required.
- Hylant offers a flexible work environment and, with approval, may include remote work options. Any approved remote work arrangement includes periodic in person requirements for meetings, collaboration, interaction with coworkers, or other business-related functions.
