Who we are looking for:


Sr. Content Strategists at VML are empathetic to user behaviors and help shape customer experiences across every digital touch point under an omnichannel lens. They gather data, execute content audits, and create and execute content strategies. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (user experience, design, account, analytics, planning) to deliver these strategies and innovative approaches to reach business goals.


What you'll do:



  • Operates as subject matter expert for all content strategy deliverables

  • Executes content strategy best practices and looks for ways to evolve deliverables based on client, industry or market need

  • Gathers and incorporates stakeholder input to defines multi-channel content needs based on persona and journey insights

  • Approaches every initiative with a focus on business results

  • Develops strategic content deliverables (assessments, style guides, matrices, site content, editorial calendars, etc.)

  • Delivers on clients' editorial standards–sometimes refining or establishing standards given project needs

  • Ensures collaboration and clear communication with cross-functional teams and disciplines

  • Understanding of web technologies like content management systems, marketing automation, dynamic content, ecommerce, SEO, personalization, translation/localization, etc.


Who you are:



  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of content strategy experience for commerce

  • BA or BS required

  • Agency experience and expertise across planning/strategy, writing/design, analytics, or technology

  • Genuine passion and curiosity about information consumption and a desire to make that experience more delightful and efficient

  • Creative mindset with strong knowledge of current web and content development emerging trends

  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisions and reasoning to broad audiences including fellow professionals, business and technical stakeholders and senior executives

  • Experience solving for ongoing, personalized experiences across channels (paid, owned, and earned)

  • Experience in writing and editing with a growing ability to work independently and in cross-functional groups as needed

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
