Senior DevOps Engineer (3 Months)

We are currently seeking a DevOps professional with expertise in cloud migration, specifically in transitioning from Azure to AWS, to streamline and optimize our client’s cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cloud migration from Azure to AWS, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition.


• Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines


• Working with internal development team to ensure integration and deployment of software changes


• Implementing effective monitoring, troubleshooting system performance and security scanning in all stages of development and deployment


• Discovering and implementing automation to reduce manual support requirements


• Providing on-call and emergency after-hours support if needed

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or related fields, or equivalent work experience


• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and writing Infrastructure-and Configuration-as-Code


• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills


• Highly proficient in AWS design and architecture


• Professional level AWS Certification a significant asset


• Highly experienced with Terraform and or AWS CloudFormation


• Experience with Infrastructure- and Configuration-as-Code


• Experience with Windows scripting


• Highly proficient with CI/CD pipeline systems, preferably GitLab


• Experience with Git in a multi-team environment


• Some experience with containers and containers-as-a-service systems, such as EKS and or ECS


• Experience with log aggregation systems such as Splunk, Datadog, or Sumo Logic


• Experience with APM solutions and infrastructure monitoring solutions an asset


• Desire to push themselves and learn new things

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
