About the role



  • As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing business decisions by employing strategic data analysis and ad-hoc modeling. Your involvement in the financial planning and reporting process will be instrumental in ensuring informed and optimized decision-making. You will collaborate cross-functionally to provide actionable insights, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial strategies. Your proficiency in creating financial models will be vital in delivering comprehensive reports and recommendations, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.


Responsibilities



  • Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial status

  • Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation

  • Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making

  • Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins

  • Establish benchmarks for financial processes

  • Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation

  • Provide guidance in buying or selling stocks, making investments and generating funds

  • Study industry-specific research and available data to predict trends

  • Create written reports that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business goals

  • Prepare documentation for company to get funding

  • Develop forecasting tools to automate financial data analysis

  • Work with databases and data warehouses to extract and transform data


Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in finance, economics or statistics

  • Proven experience working as a financial analyst

  • Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications, including the software applications your organization currently uses or plans to use in the future

  • Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills

  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Ability to work with large datasets

  • Strategic thinking and organizational skills

  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills

  • 3 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience

  • Advanced in Excel and building interactive models. Proficiency with SQL and Tableau a plus

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and positive attitude





The pay range for this role is:


90,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
