We are looking for an Audit Readiness Specialist with experience in Army inventory to join our team in supporting the Army Material Command (AMC). Additional experience with the Logistics Management Program (LMP), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) inventory, Joint Munitions Command (JMC) or Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) as well as experience supporting the DoD Tri-annual Review/Joint Review Program (JRP) are highly desired and welcome.


Your day-to-day work will include:
Providing audit readiness support and activities, including the execution of audits and remediation of weaknesses within business processes and internal controls in areas including Army logistics, supplies, inventory, PP&E, real property, environmental disposal, and liabilities.


Tasks will include:



  • Supporting audit remediation activities, including documenting, developing, and updating process documentation (e.g. narratives and workflow charts), as well as developing and implementing corrective action plans to address findings.

  • Conducting, designing, and executing recurring testing, such as testing internal controls.

  • Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis.


At a minimum you should have:



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal SECRET security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, logistics, DATA/IT, change management, and/or business management.

  • 1+ years of experience in Army logistics, supplies, inventory, PP&E, real property, environmental disposal, and liabilities. We are looking for individuals with varying degrees of experience in any of these categories.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.

  • Experience supporting DoD stakeholders and DoD/Army Financial Management

  • Providing assessments and improvements of financial statement auditability

  • Performing audits, providing audit readiness services, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or at a federal level


You will be highly desirable if you have:



  • An active and current SECRET federal security clearance from the DoD

  • Experience with the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF)

  • Extensive experience in Army logistics, supplies, inventory, PP&E, real property, environmental disposal, and liabilities.

  • Experience in internal controls documentation and/or testing

  • CPA, CISA, or other related certifications

  • Additional experience with the Logistics Management Program (LMP), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) inventory, Joint Munitions Command (JMC) or Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) as well as experience supporting the DoD Tri-annual Review/Joint Review Program (JRP) are highly desired and welcome.

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000


The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
