This Quality Assurance Analyst role lives within the customer engagement arm of the Granicus’ Digital Services Implementation Team and is a key member of the Implementation Services (IS) team. This team helps customers (government agencies) create valued online services, and partners with customer to enhance the way that government organizations support their communities through strategic experience management




As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will contribute to the overall quality of multiple customer solutions for AMANDA. You will have responsibilities related to the entire testing lifecycle, including hands-on testing, defect analysis, status reporting, and generating metrics. Experience with quality testing (across devices, browsers, and various operating software) is required, and experience with Agile Implementations highly desirable. Granicus releases new features and functionality frequently and the QA team is on the cutting edge of everything we do. In this role you and your team can become key product experts and drive how features are implemented




Essential Functions:




    • Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.

    • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and procedures.

    • Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards.

    • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.

    • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.

    • Perform data analysis, system testing, as well as compiling and providing auditable documentation of results.

    • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.

    • Assists in driving defect detection, prioritization and resolution for data and solutions through sprint planning, daily standups, and postmortems

    • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.

    • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.

    • Coordinate and support testing and/or audits conducted by external providers and/or customers.

    • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.

    • Monitor risk management activities.

    • Responsible for document management systems.

    • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

    • Ensure quality criteria is met for all types of test coverage before release.

    • Excellent communication skills - must be able to listen, comprehend, and create test plans based on requirements from the end user to ensure the need or problem to be solved is fulfilled

    • Must be able to communicate in a manner that is understood by all levels of staff, including technical and non-technical end users







Security Requirements:




    • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.

Qualifications:




    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, or 5+ years of software test related experience/knowledge.

    • 5+ years of software testing experience in a professional software development environment.

    • 5+ years’ experience in a web-based testing environment.

    • 3+ years’ knowledge of SQL databases, and post SQL.

    • 2-5 years of experience with Python and Reach JS.

    • Experience with testing and developing test scripts.

    • Experience to exploratory testing techniques and risk-based testing.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.







Preferred Skills:




    • Are bilingual (English and French) – preferred.

    • Have served as a developer for high-touch clients.

    • Have previous experience with the AMANDA product.

    • Programming experience, preferably in one or more of the following: Ruby, Java, JavaScript, XML.

    • Formatting experience with HTML, CSS.

    • Familiarity working within an agile software development process (XP).

    • Experience with browser compatibility testing.

    • Experience testing web services.

    • Experience in a SaaS environment.
