Summary


The manager of software monitoring oversees the quality and performance of the software products and services developed by MSI. They lead a team of analysts and engineers who use various tools and methods to monitor, measure, and improve our software quality and user experience. They also collaborate with other departments, such as development, infrastructure, digital product teams and production support, to ensure that the software meets the business and customer needs and expectations



Responsibilities


  • Define and implement the software monitoring strategy, policies, and standards for MSI

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts and engineers who conduct software monitoring activities, such as troubleshooting, reporting, and feedback

  • Select and maintain the software monitoring tools, platforms, and frameworks that best suit the company's software products and services

  • Establish and monitor the software quality and performance metrics, indicators, and goals, and report on the software monitoring results and outcomes

  • Identify and prioritize the software issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations and solutions to the stakeholders

  • Coordinate and communicate with the software development, production support, and digital product teams to ensure that the software monitoring feedback is incorporated into the software development lifecycle

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in software monitoring and quality assurance




Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing, monitoring, or quality assurance, preferably in a leadership role

  • Proficient in various software monitoring tools, platforms, and frameworks, such as Dynatrace, Selenium, Appium, JMeter, New Relic, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and standards, such as unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, performance testing, etc.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Passionate about software quality and user satisfaction
