The Role


As the Solutions Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of dynamic sales engineers, shaping the future growth of your department. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role demands extensive cross-functional collaboration. Your team will play a pivotal role in pre-sales and post-sales activities, facilitating value-driven customer engagements. Moreover, you'll spearhead security and technical discussions to scope integrations and adoption potential, ensuring our customers maximize their benefits from Affinity without obstacles.


What you'll be doing



  • Hire, coach, develop top talent, and provide leadership to a team of high-performing Sales Engineers to support Affinity's growth

  • Enhance existing demo instances to elevate their effectiveness in showcasing the capabilities and value proposition of Affinity

  • Deliver against sales goals and establish strong relationships with customers and partners, as well as with internal cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, CS, Engineering and Product

  • Collaborate with Sales Management to identify areas of opportunity to speed up the sales cycle, increase conversion rates and increase average sales price

  • Lead the scoping and seamless execution of custom integrations, ensuring end-to-end delivery aligned with client needs and project objectives

  • Establish standardized procedures for addressing InfoSec-related customer requests, enhancing response efficiency and accuracy to ensure prompt and precise resolution of security inquiries

  • Ensure that the Affinity values are always demonstrated by the Sales Engineering team


Key Measurables:



  • Meet 100% of committed timelines on obtaining technical closure for prospects

  • Meet 100% of committed timelines for completion and review of DPAs, InfoSec, SOW's, MSA technical language, project scoping, technical sales demos and quarterly OKRs.

Required:



  • 5-7 years' experience in a technical Pre-Sales role selling Commercial level software, ideally supporting Commercial sales.

  • 3-5 years of experience leading a team with a track record of building, coaching, and enabling a rapidly growing team

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally

  • Proven experience with technical scoping of integrations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail

Please note that the role compensation details below reflect the base salary only and do not include any variable pay, equity, or benefits. This represents the salary range that Affinity believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting, that it will pay for the posted job.


A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,200 to $192,400 CAD. Within the range, individual pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant.
