Position Summary


This position is responsible for generating creative and compelling visual communication assets across the client’s portfolio of products, services, digital marketing, and/or eCommerce spaces



Responsibilities

• Study the client’s portfolio, their users, business lines, and markets to best understand team cultural fit and inspiration
  
  
  
  • Draft detailed documentation and specifications of user experience concepts and visual design specifications
  
  
  • Collaborate with interaction and visual designers, project managers, and researchers on multiple projects to create new software and product experiences
  
  
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team to contribute to the conceptualization and design of innovative products
  
  


• Translate design intent, narratives, and complex concepts to rigorous flows and mockups reflecting a range of simple, elegant, and technically-feasible visual experience options
  
  
  
  • Create high quality design mockups with fast turnaround, and quickly iterate mockups to visualize and evolve visual design solutions via demo/design reviews with key stakeholders
  
  
  • Work closely with the software team to support prototyping activities with visual design mockups/assets, to capture and resolve bugs, including resolution of design inconsistencies, incorrect or missing graphic resources, etc.
  
  


• Refine visual design assets and apply sketching techniques, like gradients and contrasts to enhance digital images, including combining various colors, fonts, layouts, scale, harmony, balance, and use of negative space


• Successfully manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment to manage changing/more responsibilities
  
  
  
  • Ensure all visual elements are part of the unified client Design System and effectively demonstrate design language and intent
  
  
  • Be receptive to constructive criticism and internalize and make design revisions based on feedback from design leaders and design colleagues
  
  
  • Stay up to date with design application changes and industry developments
  
  


• Occasionally work 40+ hours in a week to meet certain team milestones


• Perform other duties as needed

Education and Credential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Arts or related field


• Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status

Experience Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in a visual designer role
  
  
  
  • Software UI
  
  


• 3-5 years of experience designing UX in eCommerce applications


• Experience using visual design tools such as Figma, Miro, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and XD, Zeplin, Principle, InVision, Proto.io, and/or other similar 2D drawing and photoreal tools


• Experience with user-centered design principles, methodologies, and user research
  
  
  
  • Using various Design Systems including further development and maintenance
  
  
  • Using mobile and desktop design standards and patterns such as native components, best practices, etc.
  
  


• Experience drafting design specifications and related documentation for team and upper management audiences


• Experience with (product) learning experiences and creation of educational materials

Skills Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently


• High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)


• Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution


• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset

• The position typically operates in a standard office environment and/or from employee’s home
