The Finance Team



The Finance team is focused on enabling Chainlink Labs to operate as a financially healthy and responsible business, building for speed and scale while avoiding unnecessary friction. We manage our capital resources carefully, surveying the road ahead to anticipate and prepare for any turn, and ensure the right resources are allocated for maximum returns. We analyze the business and report on key performance indicators, partner closely with other teams across the company, and ensure that we drive the right business outcomes, proper compliance, and accountability




We are seeking a highly experienced FP&A Manager to join our team and play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis activities. In this position, you will collaborate closely with department leaders, the Finance team, and the Data team. Your primary responsibilities will include providing strategic insight and support in financial planning, ensuring accountability among business leaders, and leading the development of robust financial models, forecasts, and reports




The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in finance, accounting, and data analysis, along with exceptional numerical and interpersonal skills. You should demonstrate a willingness to expand your knowledge within the blockchain industry and leverage your problem-solving abilities and experience in communicating business insights to advise senior stakeholders on key cost and business model-related decisions




The role will play a vital part in enhancing our financial and operating performance through meticulous cost analysis and optimization, and the first project will be to identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with department leads and procurement to effectively manage and reduce expenses and increase productivity. This role requires a blend of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) skills with a specific emphasis on operational efficiency strategies




Objectives of this Role




    • Develop and refine financial models (new products break-even, cost analysis and optimization, etc.)

    • Deliver consistent, timely, accurate, high-quality, and insightful financial data to department leads and the executive team.

    • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes with an emphasis on scalability and efficiency.

    • Work in partnership with department heads and procurement to implement effective cost optimization strategies, and provide insightful, data-driven recommendations.

    • Spearhead cross-functional projects.







Skills & Qualifications




    • Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, with demonstrated track record of driving and implementing successful cost reduction initiatives

    • Strong experience in collaborating effectively with cross functional leaders, with trusted reference relationships to show for it

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and financial modeling tools; willingness to adapt to new financial software as needed.

    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of advising and influencing executive stakeholders.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially under tight deadlines.

    • A strong interest in blockchain technology and a commitment to continuous learning in the industry.

    • Familiarity with software business models and the operational infrastructure required to run and grow

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

    • Knowledge of BI tools is advantageous.

    • CFA/CPA or similar qualification is preferred.
